Journal of Internet Technology

Special Issue on

Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Computing

Theme and Scope

Wireless communication technologies are going through rapid evolution. In the last few years, we have observed an explosive growth of ad hoc networks, ubiquitous computing and applications. This revolution is transforming the way people live, work, and interact with each other, and is impacting the way businesses, education, entertainment, and healthcare are operating. This special issue is to discuss advancements in the state of the art and practice of ad hoc networks, ubiquitous computing, as well as to identify the emerging research topics and to define the future of ad hoc networks, ubiquitous computing. We solicit high quality technical papers that describe original and unpublished research on ad hoc and ubiquitous computing. The papers should not be submitted simultaneously for publication elsewhere. Submissions of high quality papers describing mature results or on-going work are invited. Selected high-quality papers from ¡§The Second IEEE International Workshop on Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Computing (AHUC 2008)¡¨ will be published in this special issue of Journal of Internet Technology on "Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Computing".
